Stress and Trauma in Leduc's Working Community

Leduc is a city of over 34,000 people with strong roots in oil and gas, aviation, and transportation. Many residents work at the Edmonton International Airport, Nisku Industrial Park, or in the Leduc Business Park. These are industries with shift schedules, high-pressure environments, and not a lot of room to slow down.
Sitting between Edmonton and Red Deer on the QEII, Leduc is positioned between two cities but can fall through the cracks for specialized services. This practice fills that gap.
Families in West Haven, Southfork, or Corinthia Park may carry stress they have not had time to address. Leduc's rapid growth means many residents are newer to the area and may not have an established support network yet.
The Telford Lake trail and Fred Johns Park are great for clearing your head. But some things need more than a walk. When sleep is not coming, when you are snapping at the people you love, or when you have been pushing through for so long that you cannot remember what okay feels like, that is when professional support makes a difference.
What We Help Leduc Clients With
The practice works with adults dealing with trauma and childhood trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD, anxiety and panic, depression, and stress. Residents in Deer Valley, Meadowview, or North Telford can access sessions without driving into Edmonton's congestion.
The primary approach is Accelerated Resolution Therapy, recognized as evidence-based by the Society of Clinical Psychology (APA Division 12). ART uses eye movements and guided visualization to change how the brain stores traumatic memories. You do not need to describe the trauma out loud in detail. Most clients notice meaningful change in one to six sessions.

Online and In-Person Options

Online sessions are available over secure video from home. In-person sessions at the Red Deer office are about 75 minutes south on Highway 2, a straight shot with no city traffic. The drive south through Ponoka and Lacombe is often easier than fighting Edmonton traffic heading north.
Some Leduc clients prefer in-person for the first session and then switch to online for convenience. Flexible scheduling fits around shift work and family life.
Accepts Alberta Blue Cross, Manulife, Sun Life, and most major insurance. Visit the Fees for Services page for coverage details.
Getting to the Red Deer Office from Leduc

Online sessions remain the most popular option for Leduc clients.
